Safety is embedded in Empire’s operations, with all staff and contractors aligned with the Company’s positive and open safety culture. All Empire employees and contractors have the duty and obligation to place health, safety and environmental considerations above other priorities. This authority empowers personnel to not undertake a task unless it can be done safely and without posing a risk to themselves, others or the environment.
Our approach is to continually assess, review and seek feedback on where safety improvements can be made, to create a workplace where safety is a core value and where every individual takes responsibility for their own actions.
The Red Gully Processing Facility’s operations & maintenance contractor, Upstream Production Solutions (UPS), passed a significant milestone in May 2016 by recording three years without a Lost Time Injury (LTI).
